A pledge to Epiphany is a promise to give a specific dollar amount of your financial resources to Epiphany’s operating budget over the course of a calendar year.

In the Episcopal Church, we fund our own budget. While pledges are accepted at any time of the year, your participation in the annual stewardship campaign is vital to determining the operating budget for the next calendar year.

It takes an average of $5,555 per household to meet our 2026 budget goal. The amount of your pledge is discerned between you and God. We receive annual pledges of $100 and others that exceed $25,000. All pledge amounts are appreciated. Additional stewardship information is available below in our FAQ section.

We Pledge to Epiphany to:

  • Support a growing budget for a growing church;
  • Strengthen programs for children, youth, and adults of all ages;
  • Compensate our gifted lay staff competitively;
  • Hire additional administrative staff for growing ministries
  • Deepen our service and justice work beyond our walls.

Stewardship is everything you do after you say ‘YES’ to God.

Giving FAQs

What does a pledge do?

In the Episcopal Church, we fund our own budget. Pledges fund 90% of Epiphany’s budget. We raise our own money and we can only budget for what we expect to receive. For example, we cannot commit to salaries for clergy and staff without pledges to match.

When should I pledge?

Submit your pledge for the 2026 calendar year by November 23, 2025. The annual stewardship campaign to determine the 2026 budget is October 19, 2025 – November 23, 2025. If we don’t know your pledge, we cannot budget. If you are considering pledging for the first time, pledges are accepted at any point during the year.

How should I pledge?

Pledges need to be received in writing or directly entered by you into Realm (our secure database) for audit purposes. Our Finance Administrator and Treasurer thank you!

How much should I pledge?

The amount you give is discerned between you and God. It takes an average pledge of $5,555 to fund the 2026 budget. We receive annual pledges of $100 and others that exceed $25,000. All pledge amounts are appreciated.

The number and frequency of payments to fulfill your pledge are at your discretion throughout the calendar year.

Will I receive any information about my pledge throughout the year?

Statements are automatically generated after each calendar quarter end, either as a digital attachment to your email address which the parish has on record, or by physical letter when we do not have an email.

At year end, all donors receive a physical annual summary statement mailed to your address for your tax records.

Access to more frequently updated records of this information is also available on-line via Realm, at onrealm.org.

We recommend you review your transactions for accuracy as to your intention for the target of each payment, your pledge progress, and possible mislabeling of transactions as incorrectly deductible or non-deductible. If you see anything incorrect or have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

What happens if I make a pledge and find I cannot fulfill it?

A pledge is a commitment, not a contract. Please contact the Stewardship Committee to let us know if you need to make a change in your pledge. No questions asked; it’s simply important to our financial planning to know when pledge amounts change.

Footnote: Contributions to the Parish of the Epiphany, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
